Emmanuel Anglican Church, with The Refinery Arts & Spirit Centre, is seeking a part time contracted Custodian who will be responsible for maintaining the external and internal aspects of our buildings. Caring for the regular maintenance, minor repairs and cleanliness of the building spaces will ensure a safe and inviting space for all occupants, renters and community.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in a custodial or maintenance role focused on building upkeep. Knowledge and/or experience in a church setting is not required, but is beneficial. Coordination with building service companies will be occasionally required to ensure the effective completion of specialized maintenance and larger repairs. A keen eye for detail and diligence are valuable to this custodial maintenance position.

This position is expected to require approximately 20 hours per week and the work schedule has flexibility within the parameters of the spaces being in good condition for planned activities. Compensation will be based on experience. The anticipated start date for the position is September 2, 2025 however an earlier start date can be discussed.
