We have year round support for Alongside Hope and a special Sunday service during Lent each year with a soup and bun fundraiser. The next one will be Sunday, March 8th following worship services.
On the second Sunday of every month, food donations are collected, blessed, and distributed to the Saskatoon Food Bank and other organizations, as needed. We also gather and bless prayer shawls and warm woolies. In addition, we will gather donations of items needed for the Pride Home.

Christmas "Hampers" in the form of gift cards were given out to several organizations throughout Saskatoon. A list of those agencies will be put on the website shortly. Pictured here are Donna and Cathy sharing a donation for Interval House.
We are grateful to the men of the parish for again making delicious Christmas Cakes as a fundraiser for Christmas Hampers! This effort raised $3,182!
Nearly five years ago Christ Church had been asked to sponsor an Ethiopian refugee family who were living in a camp in Sudan. After waiting so long, the church was able to welcome on December 7th this family along with a brother and his family into its midst. It was also a special service because Bishop Chad presided over it.
After the service all the refugees, their settlement team, and Barbara, one of our Emmanuel parishioners who is a member of the settlement team, were invited to the front of the church. Everyone was introduced to the congregation, and the refugees were presented with shawls and other small gifts. Pastor Mark Kleiner introduced Barbara as a representative from Emmanuel Anglican Church that had recently made a generous contribution to the refugees’ settlement fund. Afterwards, everyone went downstairs for coffee time and fellowship.
